Oh happy day!!
Unheilig is finally doing a show in the US! Dracula's Ball in Philly. Yeah, so it's 4 hours away. The closest they've come previously is on the other side of the Atlantic, so 4 hours will be worth it. I'm so there. Current Mood: excited |

home for the holidays
yeah, so I made it back from Thailand ok. our flight scheduled for the 6th went as planned, the airport was functional enough at that point to be able to get us home. Then it was mad scramble to move into the new condo. And now the holiday runaround, I'm so behind. Not sure if I'll have time to do mass produced origami ornaments for all. But at least truffles will be done. When things settle down a bit, I seriously may try to go big time with the truffles. I've got ideas... Current Mood: cold |

Re:My Last Post Thanks to all those who gave advice on using LEDs! Shoes with clear plastic heelsShoes made better with LEDs!I found these shoes in Marshalls for $20, so I figured even if I screwed them up terribly, it was worth a try. I dremmeled out a hole in the heel, through the inside of the shoe. Stuck an LED down into the hole. Rigged up some haphazard wiring system using 9V battery clips (that I had bought for the 9V batteries I considered using but then decided that there was no way would comfortably and cutely be added to the shoe), electrical tape, and watch batteries. Now that I have the power of LEDs to incorporate into my outfits, this opens up a whole new world!! Current Mood: accomplishedCurrent Music: Die Krupps - "Fatherland" |

EE Help?
It's been a while since Volts For Dolts class. Lets say I have this LED I want to make light up and do fun stuff with. It says "5V" on the package (as well as 30 mA, 300 mcd). What do I need to create a little battery pack/circuit to make it light up? Word on the street is that I'll need a resistor or something?... |

strange question
How often do you bite your cheeks? I mean accidentally, while eating food or chewing gum or something. I'm convinced that I accidentally bite the insides of my cheeks far more than a normal human does. Maybe just because I'm way too eager to be eating things. Or maybe I'm just too tense and chompy. Is accidental biting of one's cheeks normal on a semi-regular basis? Current Mood: pensive |

foof
I should really give it a rest with the taking of the foofy trips. But I'm sooo addicted!! Stalk airfares, find something cheap, leave your car at work, run across the street, hop a plane, escape for the weekend... Berlin was fun! :) I almost have enough NWA miles for a free trip overseas now. Of course I'll be doing Mera Luna again this year, killer lineup, I could cry! The Amphi festival also looks promising, but most of the bands there I care about, I've already seen. Current Mood: fortunate |

year review
designing "imaginary" components for the next generation space shuttle, dressing up, and frivolous traveling. yayyy. each year for the past several years I've been looking back and thinking "wow, that was a heck of a lot of fun. I can't imagine it getting any better..." and yet it does. (not to jinx myself or anything). lord only knows where I'll be by next year. ich will alles! Happy Day
Saw Birthday Massacre yesterday in a cute little quaint tiny club venue (Middle East Upstairs, never been there before). Had some tasty noodlage at Wagamama in Boston. I still don't know how I feel about Wagamama coming to the US. On one hand, it kind of makes it less of a special treat. On the other hand, it is yummy. I tend to get really agitated at concerts. I'm generally pretty easygoing, but mess with either 1)my desserts or 2)my music and I get hostile. |

Amazing.
Mera Luna 2007 was just fabulous. And I had imets, the unlikely goth, as my travel companion. :) Sleep deprived, malnourished, dehydrated, aching from head to toe, inside and out, and I loved every MINUTE of it!! An absolute blast. Current Mood: unreal |

1 car.
2 years. 3 bumpers. Arg. Some woman backed into my car in a parking lot on friday. Ugh, hassles hassles. By this point I'm just kind of numb to bumper damage. It's not like either bumper on my car is the original anymore. Now I'll just have to get my rear bumper replaced for the second time. Oh well. At least I'm over the fussyness of keeping my "new" car impeccable and in it's original condition. I'm still going to fight for a Toyota bumper, though, not a generic. Ah well, the current bumper did have a scratch on it and a chip of paint missing. Where did the morning go? Time to go run and rollerblade. Whee! Current Mood: annoyed |

Last night, Haven, Zombie Prom! The doong-doong-a-doong-doong doong-a-doong-a-doong-doong opening from a trusty Depeche Mode dance floor staple comes on and I make a beeline to the dance floor. I'm stomping away happily and then I realize the true meaning behind the song that night... if Jesus was said to have risen from the dead... doesn't that make him a ZOMBIE!? |
